The Heart of HHT’s Mission

In Kapiri Mponshi, Zambia, the Home for the Homeless Trust (HHT) is more than just an organization — it’s a beacon of hope for vulnerable children and families. Since our establishment in 2022, we’ve been committed to creating opportunities, fostering resilience, and building a brighter future for those in need.

Our work is rooted in addressing the challenges caused by HIV/AIDS, economic hardship, and lack of access to education. Through programs like the Empower-Moms Project, which helps mothers prevent the transmission of HIV to their children, and the Safe-Haven Initiative, which provides shelter and care for orphaned children, we aim to uplift lives and strengthen communities.

At HHT, education is at the core of our mission. By employing unemployed teachers, we ensure that vulnerable children receive quality learning opportunities while providing meaningful employment to educators in our community. Additionally, initiatives like the Community Shield Project focus on preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS through awareness and access to healthcare.

Every step we take is guided by our vision of a community where every child has the chance to thrive. From planting trees to tackle climate change to running empowerment workshops for families, we believe in holistic solutions that address immediate needs and pave the way for sustainable development.
